You will learn about camera and Camera Types, Light & Sensitive Material (Film/Digital), Camera Control & Correct, Exposure, Light Sources & Lighting Techniques, Camera Accessories/Lenses, Photographic Composition/ Art Photography. Includes 03 practical field trips and an indoor lighting practical. This class is for beginners who are interested in basic Photography. The class duration is 3 months and classes are held on Tuesdays from 9:30AM to 12:30PM or on Sundays from 1:30PM to 4:00PM. The course fee is SLR 20,000/= if you pay in full or SLR 7,000/= a month if you pay in monthly installments. There is also a registration fee of SLR 2000/=

This class is for those who have a basic knowledge of photography. The class duration is 12 months and classes are held on every other Sunday from 9:30AM to 12:30PM. The course fee is SLR 38,000/= if you pay in full or 4 installments of SLR 10,000/=. There is also a registration fee of SLR 2000/=

In 1980 a small sparkling stream began flowing, with a tiny bunch of photo enthusiasts. They organized the first ever colour photographic exhibition in Sri Lanka in the very next year 1981. The Association (NAPSL) then organized workshops, exhibitions, field trips instruction classes etc. for more enthusiasts in photography. The stream thus became of heavily flowing river full of members from all corners of this small island with lots of photo opportunities. The photographic courses conducted by the NAPSL are recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka. This speaks volumes on the work done by the NAPSL. The education given by the NAPSL is of such a high standard that, there is a lot of students who have made photography for a living and a paying hobby.
On 04th February 1980 NAPSL was born at the Viharamaha Devi Park. NAPSL's inauguration meeting on March 01st at Sudarshi Hall.
